Dear Parents & Community Members,

We are excited to host a Junior and Senior Prom on Saturday, May 8, 2021. The following is information that will be helpful to know before attending the Prom.

DRESS CODE

Timpview school dress standards will be upheld at the dance. This dance is semi formal or formal, but no student will be turned away if they are not in that attire. The dance will be held outside, so a jacket is encouraged. No heals will be allowed on the turf, so we will ask students to take those off before entering the dance portion of the event. All students are expected to be wearing a face covering over the mouth and nose during the event.

TICKETS & PERMISSION SLIPS

Tickets will go on sale in the financial office on Monday, May 3rd. Tickets are $10 per person or $20 a couple for pre-sale tickets. Tickets purchased at the door will be $15 per individual, and $30 per couple. Every student attending the dance will be asked for your Student ID when purchasing your tickets, as well as, when you arrive at the dance. To follow safety guidelines and protocols, dance attendance is limited. Attached to your receipt is a reminder ticket. You will need both the receipt and the ticket to enter.

Only Juniors and Seniors will be allowed to attend this dance. This includes dates. Sophomores, Freshmen and students from other schools will not be allowed to attend this dance. Please keep your receipt when you purchase your tickets. This is what is your actual ticket to the dance and will be asked for when you check into the dance.

Each Prom attendee needs to sign their own permission (one per person, NOT one per couple). These will also be collected at the door when you check into the dance. These permission slips can be found in the main office and the school website at timpview.provo.edu

PARKING AND ENTRANCE

Students will need to park in the north student parking lot. You will then walk to the entrance of the Thunderdome to check into the dance. The following things will be checked at the entrance.

Your signed permission slips Your Student IDs Your Masks Your Receipt for your dance ticket (or you will pay at the door)

PROMENADE (for Students)

When you’ve been checked into the dance, you will then have the option of entering the Thunderdome to Promenade or to continue to the dance.

If you are going to Promenade, you will need to get in the Promenade line, fill out a name card, and wait your turn. We will only be hosting Promenade from 8-9pm, so if you want to come, make sure you are in line before 9pm.

When it’s your turn, you will enter through the Thunderdome doors and walk across the red carpet. You will stop in the middle for pictures, and then exit out the Thunderdome. If you do not wish to Promenade, then you will continue through the hallway into the dance.

PROMENADE (for Parents)

If your parents want to come watch you Promenade, they will need to park on the driver’s range parking lot and enter into the Thunderdome from the east top entrance. Parents will also need to maintain distance and wear a mask if they are coming to Promenade. If your parents can’t make it, we will be live streaming Promenade on our Timpview Official YouTube Channel.

DANCE After you have exited the Thunderdome, make your way to the dance on the football field. Remember, masks must be worn the entire dance.  When you leave the dance, you will need to exit towards the drivers range parking lot to exit. You may not return toward the Thunderdome.
