THS students had the opportunity to hear from Lorraine Alexander, iOS Team Lead (Coder/Programmer) at Owlet Baby Care, at the STEM Bytes Lunch Seminar today. In her talk about how Math + Coding = Saving Lives, she showed how the Smart Sock Baby Monitor works to alert caregivers if a baby stops breathing. Ms. Alexander was amazing! She also shared her STEM career path, answered lots of student questions and was an inspiration to all there. Thank you for coming!!

*This lunch seminar is part of a colloquium series (similar to TED talks) at the school that Dr. Montero is spearheading (with support from Assistant Principals Momi Tu’ua & Sean Edwards) where persons associated with technology companies and academia are invited to speak about STEM related topics and careers. Timpview is the 1st “STEM Bytes HS” in Utah.
