Our virtual Parent Teacher Conferences event is this week!

Time: 3:00pm – 7:00pm

Location: Meetings will be held via in person or through Zoom video conferencing platform.  We are asking for those wanting a Zoom meeting, to sign up between 3:00 and 5:00 pm, and those who are coming in person to come between 5:30-7:00 p.m. if possible.

Please sign up for a parent-teacher conference appointment using your student’s Canvas account.  Please follow the instructions below.

1. You will need to use your child’s Canvas account to register for an appointment with a teacher.  First, make sure you are logged out of all Gmail and Canvas accounts, including Parent Observer Canvas accounts.  

2.  Go to Provo City School District’s Login to Canvas web page (Select Student Canvas Login).

3.  Sign into your child’s Canvas account by inputting email/username and password.

Username/Email: first initial of first name, first initial of last name, six-digit student ID number (beginning with a zero), and followed by “@stu.provo.edu”

Password is Your Child’s Birthday: month, backslash (/), day, backslash (/), 4 digit year (numbers are not preceded by a zero)

Example

Student Name: John Smith

Username: js012345@stu.provo.edu

Password: 2/4/2003 or 10/20/2003

**Some students may have changed their default birthday password.  If that is the case, please ask your child for their login information.

3. After you log into your child’s Canvas account, please follow the instructions at the following Google Slides link here: https://docs.google.com/presentati

4. Please write, “in person” or “Zoom” for your appointment.  You should now see an appointment on the Canvas calendar! 

5. For Zoom:  On the day of Parent Teacher Conferences, log into your child’s Canvas account and access the Calendar found on the left side of the screen.  Click on the reservations and the Zoom link information will appear.  If you have any questions about your appointment, please contact your child’s teacher.

Esta semana será nuestra conferencia virtual de padres y maestros!

Dia: Jueves 16 de Febrero del 2023

Hora: 3:00pm a 7:00pm

Ubicacion: Sera en persona o por medio de video Zoom 

Les estamos pidiendo a las personas que decidan hacer la conferencia por medio de video zoom que por favor pueden registrarse entre las horas de 3:00pm a 5:00pm y las personas que decidan venir en persona puedan venir entre las horas de 5:30pm a 7:00pm si es posible.

Por favor inscríbase a la conferencia de  padres-maestro  usando la cuenta de Canvas de su hijo/a. Por favor siga las siguientes instrucciones.

Tendrá que usar la cuenta de canvas de su hijo/a para poder hacer una cita con el maestro. Primero tiene que asegurarse de estar desconectado de todas las cuentas de Gmail y Canvas incluyendo la cuenta de observador de padre.

Entrar al  sitio web: https://provo.edu/departments/technology-support/login-to-canvas/  (seleccionar en canvas de estudiante. 

Iniciar sesión en la cuenta de su hijo/a usando el correo electrónico como usuario y poniendo su contraseña.

Usuario/correo electrónico: primera inicial del primer nombre, primera inicial del apellido, el número de estudiante (comenzando con el zero), y siga “@stu.provo.edu”

La contraseña sería la fecha de nacimiento de su hijo/a: més, barra invertida, (/), el año serían  los cuatro dígitos.

Ejemplo

Nombre de estudiante: John Smith

Usuario: js012345@stu.provo.edu

Contrasena: 2/4/2003 o 10/20/2003

**Algunos estudiantes pudieron haber cambiado la contraseña que era su fecha de nacimiento. Si ese es el caso, favor de preguntarle a su hijo/a la información.

3. Después de haber ingresado a la cuenta de Canvas de su hijo/a, favor de seguir las siguiente instrucciones en el dispositivo de google aquí en el link: https://docs.google.com/presentati

Favor de escribir “en persona” o “Zoom” para su cita. Ahora podrá ver la cita que reservo en el calendario de Canvas!

Para Zoom: El día de la conferencia de padre y maestro, inicie sesión de la cuenta de su hijo/a de Canvas y acceda el calendario que lo puede encontrar en el lado izquierdo de la pantalla. Hacer click en la parte de reservatio y el link de zoom aparecerá. Si tiene alguna pregunta sobre su cita favor de contactar al maestro de su hijo/a.

Si tiene algún problema iniciando sesión de Canvas, favor de contactar a Katie Geary (catherineg@provo.edu). Si le gustaría hacer una cita en persona con un maestro en particular necesita hablar directamente con ese maestro. 

Si necesita servicio de traducción, favor de contactar a Lisa Polo y dejarle saber el día y el maestro que usted necesita el servicio (losapo@provo.edu).
