Spring Distance Education Information
**Senior ONLY Course. UVU prerequisites required BEFORE registration is allowed. ^ UVU Canvas Material Fees will appear on your myUVU student account and are paid to UVU. + AP exam scores must be submitted from College Board and recorded at UVU prior to course registration, OR qualifying ACT scores may be submitted on the high school transcript, OR passing ENGL 1010 with a C grade or higher. Live Interactive (Distance Education) courses run on the UVU schedule & calendar. Students taking DE courses block out high school A/B class time to participate. Students must be a high school 3.0 Junior or Senior or a high school 3.5 Sophomore and admitted to UVU to enroll in these college courses.
UVU Admission and Course Enrollment
- UVU admission and course enrollment opens Oct. 29, 2024.
- MANDATORY: Meet with Miss Boy in the THS/UVU classroom BEFORE Christmas break for UVU admissions and course registration instructions & CRNs.
- Students must be admitted UVU students and enrolled in DE college courses BEFORE the first day of UVU class in January.
Admission to UVU is free. Log on to www.uvu.edu/concurrent to get started by following Step 1: Apply to UVU. (If you currently participate in UVU concurrent enrollment or have done so in the past, this step has been done. Skip to Step 2: Register for Classes.)
After completing UVU admission, students are assigned a UVU ID number. This number is used to sign in to the MyUVU student portal for course registration. Students participating in a DE course pay low tuition of $5 per credit hour through MyUVU and are responsible for purchasing their own textbooks, eBooks, class supplies, etc. In addition to UVU tuition, there is a $10 class fee to be paid at the THS Financial Office each semester a student participates in this program.

(UVU DE/LI deadlines are different than Concurrent Enrollment deadlines in HS classes)
- Mon Jan 6: First Day of Class
- Fri Jan 10: Admission deadline for DE/LI Spring semester (Different than Concurrent Enrollment’s deadline)
- Fri Jan 10: Last Day to complete course registration
- Mon Jan 20: Martin Luther King – No School
- Mon Jan 27: Last day to drop course and not show on college transcript (students can drop online for 100% refund)
- Tues Jan 28: ‘W’ grade for withdrawal begins – no tuition refund
- Mon Feb 17: President’s Day – No School
- Fri Feb 28: Tuition Due
- Mon-Sat March 10-15: Spring Break (students)
- Mon Mar 17: Final day to withdraw (W) from DE classes
- Tues Apr 22: Last Day of Class
- Wed Apr 23: Reading Day – No Class, study for Final Exams
- Thu-Wed Apr 24-30: FINAL EXAMS (modified schedule)
- Wed-Fri Apr 30-May 2: UVU Commencement & Convocations
