Extreme Terrain Scholarship

Due:  June 15

Who Can Apply:  Seniors

Amount:  $2,5000

1 scholarship for $2,500 will be awarded twice a year to students who are pursuing a Biology or a related degree in Environmental Studies. One scholarship will be awarded for the fall semester and another for the spring semester each year.

ExtremeTerrain is offering two $2,500 scholarships, one for the fall semester and one for the spring Semester to eligible students pursuing a degree in Environmental Studies, Environmental Research, Land Use, Earth and Atmosphere Studies, Sustainable Land Management, Parks and Recreation, or Sustainable Agriculture Systems. Students should submit a 700 – 1500 word essay here that describes who you are, why you feel it is important to maintain access to public lands for recreational use and how you plan to use your degree to advocate for the recreational use of public lands. Essays should be submitted as a PDF or Microsoft Word document to be eligible for consideration and must also be accompanied with proof of current enrollment in an accredited United States college or university. Please submit your essay by 12:00PM EST on June 15th to be eligible for the fall semester scholarship. The fall semester winner will be selected by July 15th. This opportunity is offered every year and submissions are open and encouraged for the spring and fall semesters. Scholarship payment will be sent directly to the winner’s school as a tuition payment.

Navigate Your Future Scholarship

Amount: $2,500

The Navigate Your Future Scholarship is offered to a high school graduate continuing his or her education in the aviation industry. By making scholarships available, NATF’s goal is to foster and promote careers in the general aviation industry. Eligibility Applicants of the Navigate Your Future Scholarship must be: Be a senior in high school planning a career in the general aviation field Be enrolled or accepted into an aviation-related program at an accredited college or university Submit the letter of acceptance from the college or university Be able to demonstrate an interest in pursuing a career in general aviation Awards The Navigate Your Future Scholarship, in the amount of $2,500, is to be used for one year of full-time undergraduate study. Must be of Korean heritage (i.e., have a Korean parent, grandparent, or great-grandparent, or be adopted from Korea). The Western region is not currently offering scholarships to non-Korean descendants of Korean War veterans. 2. Enrollment Will be a full-time student at a school in one of the designated Western region states (Alaska, Arizona, California, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, and Washington) during the 2025 – 2026 school year. 3. Who is Eligible: Current, full-time students of accredited two-year or four-year Utah universities or colleges are welcome to apply. While there is no age requirement, all applicants must be enrolled in a Marketing, Communications, or Creative Arts program with an emphasis in marketing.

How to Apply: Students who fit the eligibility requirements listed above can apply for the scholarship. To enter, applicants must submit an essay (maximum of 500 words) and an accompanying video (less than 2 minutes) responding to the following prompt:

Who Can Apply: Grades 9-12

Amount: $500-1,000

L. Ron Hubbard’s Writers of the Future Contest is an opportunity for new writers of science fiction and fantasy to have their work judged by some of the masters in the field and discovered by a wide audience. No entry fee is required and entrants retain all publication rights. Entries in the Writers of the Future Contest are adjudicated only by professional writers. Prizes of $1000, $750 and $500 are awarded every three months. From the four quarterly 1st Place winners each year, a panel of judges select one story as the grand prize winner. Scholarship Application The program has specific scholarships for incoming freshmen and upper-level undergraduate students. All of the scholarships are based on financial needs and with the usual minimum GPA requirement of 3.0.

To be eligible for a scholarship you must: Submit a completed application form indicating a sincere interest in an automotive career. Provide an official transcript of all academic work. Submit two letters of recommendation supporting your automotive interests. Submit a letter of acceptance for an associate, bachelor, or masters program. Geneva Rock Scholarship

Who Can Apply: Seniors

Amount: $2,000

To be eligible, applicants must be currently enrolled in an accredited university, college, trade, or vocational school. Scholarship applicants must be in pursuit of construction-related careers including, but not limited to: Construction management, civil engineering, business, and commercial/professional sales. Students involved in trades such as welding, diesel tech, heavy equipment operations, and building tech are also welcome to apply. High school seniors are eligible to apply but must be enrolled in one of the previously mentioned institutions. All applicants must have received (or be in the process of attaining) their high school diploma or GED. All applicants must be U.S. citizens, or be a legal permanent resident with work eligibility status. Any student who fits the eligibility requirements listed above can apply for the Geneva Rock Scholarship. To enter, students must answer all four questions below using complete sentences. Please be mindful of the indicated word-count for each question. The construction industry, and its numerous affiliated-professions, are dedicated to building and connecting the world.

Why have you chosen a career path in the construction industry? (Approximately 200 words) What role do you feel that the construction industry has in the future of your community? (Approximately 200 words) Discuss a time when you built something. Did you enjoy it? What was your favorite part of the process? How did you feel after the project was complete? (Approximately 200 words) What area of the industry intrigues you the most? Describe your ideal career. Once the winner has been selected, they will be contacted directly by Geneva Rock prior to the start of the fall and spring semesters.
