Timpview High School

Freshman, Neveah Valdizan known by her artist name as “Neveah” , is this year’s Timpview Rising Star. At the age of two before she could speak, Neveah began to sing. Singing along to songs like “No One” by Alicia Keys and others. Later, by the age of nine Neveah had taught herself how to sing, and was singing difficult and passionate songs from bands like Queen to solo artists like Rihanna, Bruno Mars and more. At the age of thirteen during the Covid-19 pandemic, her dad thought it was the perfect time and age to get Neveah to explore the idea of being a music star. Neveah began playing the piano and teaching herself music composition theory and writing, using tools such as YouTube and GarageBand to produce her own music, because this would make her a powerful musician and not just a singer. If she began working for others she wouldn’t have the time to keep expanding her talents and her dad asked her: “Do you believe you can be a star and that the whole world will one day listen to your music?” Neveah then told him that she didn’t think people would like her music. So he challenged Neveah, being fourteen; to compose and record her debut music album. As a goal and objective for her freshman year. Hesitant, Neveah took a step of faith that she would accomplish the project. Neveah was not entering the school year as a student working on an extracurricular activity. He reassured Neveah that he would coordinate with her teachers in making sure that they were understanding of the project she was working on in order for them to be flexible with school work deadlines and such. This help from her dad gave Neveah the peace of mind to have an enjoyable and successful freshman year. Neveah was able to meet her project’s deadline and complete her final song of the album the last week of the school year, and Neveah’s happy to debut it through Timpview’s website and social media. Each song has a personal touch to Neveah, and highlights her life experiences during childhood and moments that were influential to her like many at school and in Timpview. neveah’s debut album “Sticky Notes” Available now: https://superseedforever.wixsite.com/neveah Connect with neveah: Instagram: @neveahvaldizan https://youtube.com/channel/UCLGl55IaZjHT55CyyFQs7Zg
