The National Center for Women in Technology (NCWIT) has announced the winners and honorable mentions for the Northern Utah Region. Congrats to Berniel Biggs, Lynn Chen, Veronica Gao and Amaya Tolman are being recognized for their exceptional contributions and achievements in technology and computer science. Congrats to all our Freshmen, Sophomores and Juniors for taking the Aspire or ACT this month! Thanks to Student Government for planning a fun MORP in Rio dance! Our next dance will be Prom on April 26th

Congratulations to Elijah Pestana! He is a winner of the American Legion Oratorical Contest! He did an excellent job giving a prepared 10 minute speech and an extemporaneous 5 minute speech on aspects of the Constitution. Congratulations Amelhie Masbernat who has won the Utah State Board of Education CTE Scholarship! This scholarship has extensive requirements and is highly competitive. Shout out to her CTE teacher Kimber Kober who encouraged her all along the way!

Thanks to all our BANDS who performed in Battle of the Bands this month!

Jane Hendegren just won the Nike Indoor Nationals in the 5000m. She crushed the National Record with a time of 15:13.26! Making history once again!

The following students placed in the TSA competition this month:

  • 1st Place – Video Game Design (Evan Coons, Nathan Fellars, Benjamin Ryu, Nathan White, Kyle Wilson, and Boaz Dittmer)
  • 1st Place – Geospatial Technology (Veronica Gao and Rachel Ryu)
  • 2nd Place – Future Technology and Engineering Teacher (Amaya Tolman)
  • 2nd Place – Music Production (Veronica Gao and Wyatt Vanfleet)
  • 3rd Place – Future Technology and Engineering Teacher (Veronica Gao)
  • With their 1st place finishes, both the Video Game Design and Geospatial Technology teams have qualified to represent Timpview at the National TSA Conference in Nashville this June.

In addition to her outstanding competition results, Veronica Gao was elected as TSA State President for the upcoming school year and is considering a run for National Office—a remarkable honor and opportunity for leadership at the national level.

Congratulations to all the students who competed, and best of luck to our Nationals-bound teams this summer!

Dean Rueckert was named 5A basketball player of the year!

Ballroom placed 2nd at Dancesport at BYU t in 3rd division!

Choir, Orchestra and Dance all had great trips to California this month!

Congrats for making it to the last week of term! Just 1 term left this school year!
