I have my BSEd in Secondary Mathematics Education with a minor in Computer Science from Abilene Christian University, Abilene, Texas. I also have my MSEd in Educational Administration from Abilene Christian University, Abilene, Texas. I am currently working towards completing my National Board Certification in Mathematics.
2019-20 is my 32nd year in public education. I taught for 12 years in various places throughout Texas and Florida. I taught 7th grade math and all levels of high school math while coaching varsity basketball, cross country and track in Abilene, Texas; Clyde, Texas; Austin, Texas; Queen City, Texas; and Orlando, Florida. I have been teaching at Timpview High School for the last 19 years. I took two years off to teach at BYU in the Math/Math Education departments about ten years ago, but found my true love to be teaching high school students, so I came back to THS. I am quite happy teaching SM2 and AP Calculus AB here at Timpview!
My husband and I love Florida, so our family goes there and to Disney every chance we get. I love visiting the beach and traveling. My husband and I have seven children and 12 grandchildren. Our youngest three daughters, Alicia (’14), JoAnna (’17) and Hannah (’22), all have attended THS.
