Fashion Design Disclosure
Course Description/Overview/Welcome Statement
This course is designed to give students insight into the field of fashion design. Students will learn the elements and principles of design and apply them to clothing/accessory design sketches. Students will be exposed to potential fashion related careers and industry information.

Assessment of Progress
Course Materials
Course Fee:
This course requires a $15.00 fee to help cover the maintenance, repair, and replacement of various tools, supplies, and equipment in the classroom. If you have not already paid this fee, please do so as soon as possible at the financial office
Classroom Procedures
Class Procedures:
Nearly all assignments will be kept in a composition notebook (a.k.a. “Smashbook), provided by the teacher. Please do not lose this notebook.
Calendar of Due Dates for Major Assignments
End of the Year Skills Testing
Students will be taking and end of the year skills assessment administered by the state CTE/FACS program. Students who score an 80% or higher will be awarded a Skills Certificate for their content area
Progress Reports and Report Cards
All scores will be posted to powerschool as soon as the assignment is graded.
