My Web Page–Canvas LMS system. Grades are posted on Canvas on a regular basis–anytime the student does an assignment or takes a bellringer, self-check, quiz, or test. You can track grades by having your student show you the grade section in Canvas. Don’t look at the overall grade and it is continuous throughout the entire course. Look for the dashes (-) to signify what work still needs to be completed. A copy of the disclosure is also published in the course. The due dates for all assignments are also published in the course.
Here are the links to the disclosure documents:
Brigham Young University: Bachelor of Arts
Teaching Since 1987: 24 years at Timpview High School, 20 years at BYU Independent Study, 1 year at American Fork High School, 2 years at Power-Glide Foreign Language, and 2 years at Canyon Crest Elementary.
I’m married and have 4 children, three boys and a girl. I have a daughter-in-law and a son-in-law and one granddaughter and soon to be one grandson.
Everyone in my family speaks a foreign language. Languages represented are: Japanese, Korean, Romanian, Russian, and German. I think our love for languages began with my love of travel. I’ve been to 41 of the 50 US States and 14 different countries on three continents. Places I’d still like to visit are: Florence Italy, New Zealand, and the Great Barrier Reef in Australia.
Little known facts about me are: I love to read historical fiction and action-suspense novels. I enjoy cooking and my newest venture is smoking meats on a Traeger grill–Brisket is my specialty. I’ve run two marathons both in Logan, Utah. I collect Swarovski crystal and have been to the Swarovski factory in Austria. I love dogs especially my Golden Retriever names Chloe. I added scuba diving this past summer and have my open water certification.
