Brigham Young University: Bachelor of Arts
Teaching Since 1987: 27 years at Timpview High School, 20 years at BYU Independent Study, 1 year at American Fork High School, 2 years at Power-Glide Foreign Language, and 2 years at Canyon Crest Elementary.
I’m married and have 4 children, three boys, and a girl. I have two daughters-in-law and a son-in-law and two granddaughters and one grandson.
Everyone in my family speaks a foreign language. Languages represented are: Japanese, Korean, Romanian, Russian, and German. I think our love for languages began with my love of travel. I’ve been to 41 of the 50 US States and 18 different countries on three continents. Places I’d still like to visit are Florence Italy, New Zealand, and the Great Barrier Reef in Australia.
Little known facts about me are: I love to read historical fiction and action-suspense novels. I enjoy cooking especially smoking meats on a Traeger grill–Brisket is my specialty. I’ve run two marathons both in Logan, Utah. I collect Swarovski crystal and have been to the Swarovski factory in Austria. I love dogs and my dear Golden Retriever who I had for almost 10 years passed away this past spring-sad day. I have a new dog, a Great Pyrenees who has filled the hole my golden left and I enjoy walking with him. A couple of years ago I added scuba diving to my list of adventures and this past spring break went diving with three different types of sharks, four different rays, a huge turtle, and a ton of fish in the Epcot aquarium in Disney World. Adventure is everywhere!
