Matrícula Concurrente (CE) de la UVU

What is Concurrent Enrollment?

The Concurrent Enrollment (CE) program aims to offer motivated high school students an engaging and rigorous college-level experience.  Participants in this program have the opportunity to earn both high school and college credit at a reduced cost of $5 per college credit. Concurrent Enrollment classes offered at Timpview allow students to register for courses through Utah Valley University (UVU) and earn college credit upon successfully completing the course.  College credit is offered in high school classes, virtually from a UVU instructor, or completely online.  Participation in the program creates a permanent college transcript.  It’s important to understand that obtaining CE credit is contingent upon meeting the program requirements and passing the course.  CE classes cannot be dropped after the college withdrawal deadline.  If a student decides not to finish a class after the deadline, a failing grade will be recorded on their college transcript

To participate in Concurrent Enrollment you must:

  • Have a 3.0 GPA
    • Career and Technical Education courses require a 2.0 GPA
  • Submitted a state participation form
  • Meet with one of the academic advisors
  • Students must complete the ACT, Accuplacer, or ALEKS assessments and fulfill the necessary prerequisites before enrolling in CE English or CE Math.
