Realistic Technical – “the Doer”

Technical-Realistic people are independent, practical, physically strong. They use their hands/eyes to explore things and achieve. They require physical coordination, strength, agility, and logic. They enjoy risk, excitement, being outdoors, solving concrete problems, and using tools and machinery. They like to solve problems by doing.

  • like activities that let them see the results of their work
  • like work that involves using machines, tools, and equipment
  • like to develop manual, mechanical, agricultural, or electrical skills
  • prefer occupations which might involve building or repairing things
  • tend to be down-to-earth and matter-of-fact

  • may prefer to work with things or objects more than people
  • may enjoy the protective services careers
