Review and Approval of January Minutes
Motion made by Shane and seconded by Jennie.
SIP Goal #1 – Jen Napierski
- Her class consists of 12-15 students working on reading speed and comprehension.
- Ideal reading speed is 150 words per minute (wpm), but if students reach 100 wpm, the focus shifts to comprehension.
- Primarily 9th graders and students hand-selected after testing by administration.
- Working with 12 content literacy specialists; professional development is needed.
- March 5: School Business meeting dedicated to faculty training on testing (not just NWEA).
- Letters will be sent to students performing well in non-testing classes for deeper analysis.
District Strategic Plan – Melanie Hall & Jennifer Partridge
- Academics: Increase the percentage of students achieving proficiency in core subjects by 15% within the academic year.
- Wellness/Safety: Increase the number of students and families who feel the school and district provide a supportive environment.
- Stewardship of Resources: Increase retention of high-quality teachers between years 5-15 by 15% over five years.

Revisiting SCC-Funded Goals – Martin Yablonovsky
- 14 students will graduate with an associate degree.
Phase 3 Building Update – Cami White
- February 21: Ribbon cutting for seniors at 11:45 AM.
- February 24: One lunch.
- February 26: 250 new parking spots open.
- March 1: Cafeteria closed for 18 months.
