Computer-Business Technology and Service Training
Information Technology I – $165 Full Year or Semester These courses are taught in a traditional lockstep Instructor-Led training environment and an Open Entry/Open Exit Environment. Courses have a limited number of seats. Certifications include: a+, Network +, Security +, Server+, Linux+, Linux Server, MCP MCSA, MCSE, CCNA, and Novell. Depending on the level of certification students will be able to set up, troubleshoot and maintain small to medium sized networks. Advanced concepts in networking technologies and management include TCP/IP, WANs, VLANs, security routers and switches, and home network technologies. Section 1 Daily 7:30 - 10:30 a.m. Section 2 Daily 11:30 - 2:30 p.m.
Media Design Technology Multimedia I: Design and Development - $165 Full Year Learn to create stunning images and presentations with leading graphics software including: QuarkX Press, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Corel Bryce, Adobe Premiere and Macromedia Director. Explore photo enhancement, computer illustration, 3D modeling, animation, video and multimedia authoring. Learn to scan, retouch, composite and enhance images, draw vector illustrations and diagrams, layout corporate documents such as business cards, stationary, brochures, newsletters and much more! (Prerequisite - Basic Computer Skills) Section 1 Daily 7:30 - 10:30 a.m. Section 2 Daily 11:30 - 2:30 p.m.
Media Design Technology 3D Modeling & Animation – $85 Fall Semester Professionals in fields like science, medicine, law, business and architecture are now using digital products, long popular in newscasts, movies, and advertising, to enhance their organizations. Through multimedia, student pilots run flight simulations, professional trainers create interactive instructional programs architects and engineers create 3D walk-through designs, law enforcement officials recreate crime scenes to solve cases, and doctors diagnose diseases and develop scenarios to prepare for surgery. Section 1 Daily 11:30 - 2:30 p.m.
Media Design Technology Multimedia II: Production - $85 Spring Semester You will focus on developing professional level design and multimedia production skills using examples and models from industry. Use Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, EOVIA Carrara, Macromedia Flash, Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects, and Macromedia Director Software to create a series of projects each term for actual business clients that will prepare you for full-time employment. These projects, worked on as teams, include planning and designing Flash-based websites; creating models, animations and programming for game development; and much more! Prerequisite: Multimedia I. Business Technology--$75 Full Year MATC’s new Business Technology program prepares you for an office technician career in today’s high tech business environment. From the basics of keyboarding, work processing, spreadsheets and databases to the intricacies of records management, website management, electronic presentations and accounting practices. This program is designed to add to your present business technology competencies with a goal of obtaining a business technology certificate. Students may be able to waive significant portions of the program by demonstrating competencies already attained in a high school business class. Section 1 Daily 7:30 - 10:30 a.m. Section 2 Daily 11:30 - 2:30 p.m.
